"Dancer 10" featured at USA International Ballet Competition

June 10-23, 2018, all eyes will be on Jackson.

USA International Ballet Competition XI

Top young dancers from around the globe take the stage of Thalia Mara Hall as America's official international ballet competition convenes in Jackson, Mississippi.

Two divisions–junior, ages 14-18, and senior, ages 19-28–award medals, cash prizes, company contracts, scholarships and apprenticeships to competitors who meet the highest international dance standards.

Nice days of performances in three rounds of competition determine the winners who perform in triumph at the Awards and Encore Galas.

More than a competition, the USA IBC is a celebration of dance. The USA IBC is a celebration of dance. The USA IBC Dance School, Teacher Training, Opening Ceremony performance by dancers of the Joffrey Ballet, exhibits, and new Arts, Lecture & Film Series add to the festivities, attracting visitors from across the U.S. and around the world.

"Dancer 10" by Jack Howard-Potter, part of the Mathews-Sanders Sculpture Garden Permanent Collection, will be featured in front of Thalia Mara Hall for the duration of the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi.
